Does a Nile crocodile stand a chance against a lion, especially on land?

If we are talking adults, there is no way to be sure. A crocodile is not a land predator, it is an ambush predator. Using ambushes, crocodiles kill more lions than lions kill crocs. Even on land, I don't think a lion would challenge a crocodile. Too much of a risk. Why? Lets say a lion does manage to kill the crocodile, but it sustains injuries. An injured lion is a dead lion, because it will be hard for it to find more food. That is why top predators rarely ever attack top predators.
