What does an english tutor do?

It sounds like Teaching English as a Foreign Language rather than teaching English per se. You won't be giving out essays and stuff like that, instead you'll be teaching them to speak English. And because you speak English don't think it's easy to teach English. I'd suggest looking into the subject - TEFL - in depth and then making a decision.
