What should I do about this?

My left wrist started hurting after I did barbell curls about a week ago. I have lifted twice since then, but I stay away from bicep curls and stick to either jackhammers or triceps for an arm workout. I've been weightlifting for a couple years now and only recently have I felt this kind of pain. I can rotate my wrists but it's when I put strain on a certain side that I feel this sharp pain. I can't even play guitar adequately right now. I don't want to take a break from lifting, but I'm thinking that's the smartest thing for me to do right now. Probably a two week break with ice. Has this happened to anyone before? And what did you do/what should I do?
