Generally OC can show some performance increase...but only .2 will only be noticeable in bench mark scores! 2.8 GHz is pretty good by itself. Most CPU's aren't over 3.3GHz stock. With Turbo boost you can get upwards of 3.8GHz for short periods (if the program calls for more speed) OCing to 4.0 GHz would be very visible performance gain...IF...the CPU can take it...that's a very BIG "IF" You can OC your CPU that little just for practice and get use to OCing.
