Is anyone a receptionist out there?

In particular a medical receptionist. I started a new job on thursday at a clinic as a receptionist and let me tell you, it's ridiculously overwhelming. I know since I'm new it will be like that but it's also pretty difficult as I've never had any experience doing this sort of work before. In my 2 days working I haven't been able to catch on very much (I must be a slow learner I'm thinking) and those training me don't seem to like that very much and can be impatient and just too busy to adequately train me. I already got frustrated and I hate to judge the job this quickly but I'd like to know, to those of you who do this, how long did it take you to get used to it and learn everything? I'm already feeling discouraged. Thanks.
