I need help with zombie card rulings?

I have a question. I was dueling Wetlands the other day, and I got to attack my opponents two dewdarks with red eyes zombie dragon and paladin of cursed dragon. Now I had zombie world on the field, so both dewdarks come to my side of the field. Question is: do they come to my side during my battle phase or main phase 2? Because if it was battle phase, then i would have won, but if it was main phase 2, then I would have lost next turn. please help?
